Job summary

The Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for all EC&I systems on the Ultimate Diesel Generators at the EDF Hinkley Point C site in Somerset. You will lead the EC&I installation, commissioning and testing to ensure compliance with design intent and safety standards.

Working closely with the engineering team, you will act as Senior Authorised Person, guide the installer, and produce as-built documentation, progress reports and acceptance criteria for testing and

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical plant including switchgear and transformers.
• Experience with emergency/ultimate generators and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead EC&I at site for commissioning and testing.
• Advise installer on electrical installation standards and testing criteria.
• Create as-built EC&I documentation and pass/fail criteria.
• Provide progress reports to the Project Manager and resolve site issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and cost controls.
