Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in Mapperley, Nottingham is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator to join our family-run team. You’ll help deliver a safe, welcoming environment and model best practice in line with EYFS.

You’ll engage children with varied activities, support families, and participate in training to develop your skills in a supportive, community-focused setting. The role offers ongoing professional development and opportunities to progress within the Cherubs Nurseries group.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Educator with a childcare qualification.
• Commitment to safeguarding and EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the childcare team to provide an amazing service for children and families.
• Ensure the environment is safe, secure and clean, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Be a role model for children and demonstrate best practice to colleagues.
• Greet parents with warmth and provide a concise handover at day end.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for key children, meeting targets and recording accounts per child.
• Keep the room and nursery well presented with organized resources and displays.
• Attend internal and external training, some outside working hours.
• Assist in planning and delivering activities to support development as per individual needs.
• Attend staff events, including parents evenings and weekend activities.
