Job summary

DTC | A Codan Company in Whiteley, Hampshire, UK is seeking a Principal DSP Engineer to design and develop DSP algorithms and waveforms for wireless data transmission. The role involves Matlab/Python-based modelling, simulation, and testing to advance SDR technology.

Strong DSP fundamentals and experience with C/C++, embedded systems, and potential FPGA exposure are valuable. Senior DSP engineers are welcome to apply based on experience and capability. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong DSP fundamentals and signal-processing background.
• Experience with C/C++ and embedded systems would be useful.
• Wireless communications or SDR experience would be highly relevant.
• We are equally interested in strong DSP Engineers from other mathematically intensive backgrounds.
• MATLAB and/or Python experience to develop capabilities and validate waveforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop signal processing algorithms and waveforms for reliable transmission.
• Work on DSP algorithm design, modelling, simulation and testing using MATLAB and/or Python.
• Evaluate waveforms for challenging channel conditions and real-time performance.
• Translate algorithms into practical, real-time products and prototypes.
