Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Document Controller with excellent organisation skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills and with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team. This role supports our Operations business and based in Aberdeen with hybrid working (2 days remote, 3 days in the office).

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of document controllers, ensuring all technical documentation associated with the assigned project scope is managed in accordance with Wood procedures.

You will establish and maintain effective working relationships ensuring communication across the project interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all project documentation is managed throughout its lifecycle via Document management systems (Documentum and SDx)
  • Ensure all documentation is issued to the client as per client requirements and in an expedient manner
  • Ensure files are maintained in accordance with Wood procedures
  • Produce reporting metrics from EDMS as required
  • Ensure document management procedures satisfy project, client, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
  • Monitor progress of in-house and Client reviews of technical data
  • Perform all supervisory duties required to support the Project Document Management team
  • Communicate with Project Manager, Client and Third Parties to agree standards, systems, handover and close - out of project activity to meet project requirements
  • Be involved in developing and maintaining document management performance targets
  • Ensure the team is fully trained in all systems and that they work in accordance with the procedures / work instructions and to the project distribution matrices
