Job summary

Zest Optical recruitment is working on behalf of an independent opticians group to recruit a full-time Dispensing Optician Manager for their Knaphill practice near Woking. You will lead the day-to-day running, manage the team, handle complex dispensing cases, and contribute to patient care.

The role offers 40 hours across five days, Monday to Saturday 9:00am–5:30pm, with Thursday and Sunday as fixed days off.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team.
• Confident in day-to-day staff management and performance coaching.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Interest in premium eyewear and brands.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day running of the practice.
• Manage, support, and motivate the team to deliver high standards.
• Involved in training and development.
• Handle complex dispensing cases and patient queries.
• Lead from the front and ensure patient care remains top priority.
