Location: Hybrid (London)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 Months)

RS Group is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Lead Digital Implementation Specialist – Server-Side Tagging to join our digital team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this critical role, you will lead the design and deployment of server-side tagging solutions across our global digital estate, helping to deliver measurable business impact through accurate, secure, and scalable data architecture.

You’ll work on high-profile initiatives ranging from strategic transformation projects to agile, data-driven optimisations. With your deep technical expertise and strong communication skills, you will guide the implementation of tagging solutions that support marketing effectiveness, user experience, analytics, and global privacy compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Lead Digital Implementation Specialist – Server-Side Tagging, you will take ownership of the development, rollout, and continuous improvement of our server-side tagging strategy using Tealium. You’ll lead the end-to-end implementation across our entire digital estate, ensuring data accuracy, performance marketing effectiveness, and strict compliance with privacy regulations.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including product owners, engineers, architects, and marketing leaders—to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and insight-driven tagging solutions. Acting as both a strategic advisor and technical expert, you’ll champion best practices and ensure tagging supports our broader digital and commercial goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing a group-wide server-side tagging architecture using Tealium.
  • Delivering tagging solutions that support business-critical initiatives—from multi-year transformation projects to tactical optimisations.
  • Developing strategies for performance marketing tagging to maximise insight, attribution, and campaign efficiency.
  • Leading the tagging approach for analytics and data collection through our martech stack, enabling deeper business insights.
  • Defining and enforcing privacy compliance and cookie policy tagging requirements across all markets in line with evolving regulations.
  • Collaborating with vendors and global partners to ensure best-in-class tag deployment and tool utilisation.
  • Supporting tagging operations by refining backlogs, managing implementation priorities, and keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Taking the lead on incident investigation and resolution related to tagging or analytics, leveraging your expertise to maintain business continuity and data trust.

About You

You’re an experienced digital tagging specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As this is a fixed-term contract, we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring proven server-side tagging experience—ideally with Tealium.

You're technically strong, commercially aware, and confident working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience implementing or migrating to server-side tagging across digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, particularly in CMS, personalisation, and experimentation platforms.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, API integration (SOAP & REST), RegEx, jQuery, and JSON.
  • Hands-on experience with tag management systems such as Tealium, Ensighten, Adobe Launch, or Google Tag Manager.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and ContentSquare.
  • Experience working with martech platforms such as Google Campaign Manager.
  • Ability to gather requirements and customise tagging solutions to meet internal business needs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills—able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical teams.
  • A detail-oriented and methodical approach to testing, QA, and implementation.
