Job summary

83zero Ltd. seeks a Principal DevSecOps Engineer for a permanent role in London with a hybrid pattern (3 days on-site).

You will lead the adoption and continuous improvement of DevSecOps across complex programmes, blending hands-on engineering with technical leadership to embed security, automation and reliability. Responsibilities include designing secure CI/CD pipelines, IaC governance, vulnerability management and incident support, while shaping DevSecOps practices across teams and ensuring

Qualifications

Hands-on DevSecOps with leadership experience across secure CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
Experience embedding security, automated vulnerability management and secrets handling in delivery workflows.
Proven ability to establish secure-by-design practices and enforce security standards.

Responsibilities

Design and continuously improve secure, automated CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
Embed security scanning, vulnerability management and secrets management into delivery workflows.
Establish secure‑by‑design engineering practices and enforce security and technical standards.
Lead IaC practices across teams and environments.
Drive observability, monitoring, logging and audit controls.
Support incident response, patching, compliance reporting and technical debt remediation.
Partner with developers and delivery teams to improve engineering quality and security.
Document security processes, controls and runbooks.
Provide technical leadership and help establish DevSecOps ways of working.
