Job Title: Lead DevSecOps Engineer

Oliver Bernard is seeking a Lead Level DevSecOps Engineer to join a rapidly growing retail company with hubs across Europe. This role is part of a transformative period within the tech team, following the establishment of a new platform team, involving extensive greenfield work across Cloud, Container, Infrastructure, and Security technologies.

The company has expanded its tech team organically and now seeks a Lead Engineer to take ownership of their DevSecOps and Infrastructure functions. The role involves driving, scaling, and building out DevOps and Security best practices across the broader tech team, with a focus on integrating a security-first approach into their DevOps processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the DevSecOps and Infrastructure functions.
• Implement and promote best practices in DevOps and Security.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure security is integrated into development and operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Approximately 3-4 years in DevSecOps-focused roles.
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud and related services.
• Experience migrating from On-Premises to Cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with automation, Python, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Deep knowledge of Security and DevSecOps tools and practices.
• Experience mentoring and managing engineering teams.

Compensation and Work Environment:

The role offers a salary of £90,000 to £100,000. It is primarily remote from the UK, with monthly travel to offices across Europe (including Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova), with travel expenses covered.
