How you'll make a difference
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll bridge our platform capabilities and feature teams, representing a new model for our organisation. Working aligned to one of our Value Streams, reporting to the Platform Engineering DevOps chapter, you'll be embedded within Feature Teams, bringing technical expertise directly to where software is created. Without line management responsibilities, you'll proactively lead and empower engineers to step beyond traditional role boundaries, championing a DevOps mindset and enabling teams to own their delivery pipeline end-to-end. As a vocal self-starter, you'll help teams effectively leverage our platform while creating pragmatic solutions where gaps exist. You'll establish vital feedback loops that evolve our platform based on real-world usage, translate complex technical capabilities into practical workflows, and advocate for developer experience improvements. Your unique position allows you to identify patterns across teams that could become standardised platform capabilities, ultimately accelerating delivery while maintaining engineering excellence in our banking technology transformation.
