Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking DevOps Engineers to design, build and maintain mission critical systems with a focus on automation, CI/CD and cloud readiness. You will work with Architects, Developers and Testers, ensuring reliability and agility across the SDLC.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and adopting best-fit tools within a flexible, hybrid work environment. Experience across AWS/Azure/GCP and container platforms is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Automation using scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with virtualised / containerised systems (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with Atlassian tooling (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
• Strong agile background and ability to work across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain mission critical systems with stakeholders.
• Automating deployment, operation and maintenance using IaC and config management tools.
• Lead decisions on best-fit tools to solve complex project problems.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure stability and quality across the SDLC.
• Continuously expand skills and certifications.
• Migration activities to cloud readiness and microservices architecture.
