Job summary

1120 NG UK Limited is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain mission critical systems across hybrid environments. You will automate deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling, and lead tool decisions to solve complex project problems effectively.

Collaborate with stakeholders, create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure stability and quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and maintaining mission critical systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Experience with IaC and configuration management tooling.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders and teams using Atlassian tools.
• Strong Agile background and ability to learn across multiple teams.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

Your Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to design, build and maintain mission critical systems
• Automating system deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
• Lead and drive decisions to implement best fit tools to solve complex project problems effectively.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure stability and quality at all stages of the SDLC (software development life cycle).
• Continuously expand your own skills, maintaining and enhancing relevant certifications
• Migration activities with a focus on positioning projects to become cloud ready and implement micro services architecture.

Your Experience

• Experience of creating/maintaining DevOps CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Concourse, Maven, Bamboo
• Experience of automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python;
• Experience of administering Virtualised or Containerised systems in VMWare or Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift;
• Strong collaboration and excellent communication skills verbal and written using collaborating tooling e.g. Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
• Strong agile background, keen to learn and succeed across multiple teams and adapt where required.
• Cloud experience and awareness in AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platforms
• Experience of designing, deploying and administering Linux or Unix based solutions would be advantageous e.g. using virtualisation, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with performance monitoring tools e.g. Elastic Stack, Grafana
