Lead DevOps Engineer - £70,000 - £90,000 + Bonus - Stockport, Cheshire based (Hybrid 2-3 days per week in the office)

My client is a leader in developing FinTech solutions for multiple financial services providers. Due to increased demand for their platform, they are scaling rapidly and require a Lead DevOps Engineer to develop their infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability during their migration to a new cloud environment.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Linux System Administration
• Containerization and deployment - Docker and Kubernetes and/or GKE
• Cloud platforms - AWS and GCP (GCP desirable)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform
• Scripting - JavaScript, TypeScript
• CI/CD pipelines

Other Essential Skills:

• Team leadership - experience leading small teams of DevOps engineers
• Strategy - designing and delivering the DevOps Roadmap
• Stakeholder Management - collaborating with the wider business to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives, and promoting DevOps culture across the organization

This is a unique opportunity to be the Lead DevOps Engineer in a fast-growing FinTech company, as they scale their infrastructure in AWS, owning the roadmap and development of DevOps, with plans to migrate to GCP within the next 12 months (GCP experience is desirable but not essential).
