Hedgehog Lab, a digital product consultancy with 20 years of experience, is seeking a senior DevOps engineer. You will design and run AWS infrastructure for client products and build CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, safe releases. You will mentor engineers and set DevOps standards across projects.

We are remote-first and work with diverse clients from digital transformation initiatives to AI platform builds, across sectors such as retail, health tech and financial services.

Competenze

• Hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
• Comfort with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, plus containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Led or mentored engineers and communicated effectively with clients.
• Able to discuss technical decisions and trade-offs with non-technical stakeholders.

You're probably the person who gets called when a release breaks. Yet you rarely get a say in how the platform is built.

Here, you'll be the one deciding.

What's in it for you

You'll shape how infrastructure, pipelines and environments get built on your projects, from the first client conversation to go-live.

You'll move between different clients and problems, so you won't spend years on one platform.

Who you'll be doing it for

You'll join hedgehog lab, a digital product consultancy with 20 years of experience. We're around 100 people, B Corp and Great Place to Work certified, and backed by a growth capital investor.

Your clients will be public and private sector organisations going through digital transformation, from moving to a new tech stack to building an AI platform from scratch. They include retail, health tech and financial services businesses.

You'll work in project teams of 5 to 15 people, alongside agentic engineers, software engineers, QA and designers.

What you'll be doing

You'll design and run AWS infrastructure for products built in TypeScript, Node and Python.

You'll build the CI/CD pipelines that let teams release often and safely, and manage it all as code so environments stay secure, monitored and cost effective.

You'll talk clients through technical decisions and trade-offs, and set the DevOps standards other projects follow.
