Business Applications Manager

Location: London Docklands

Our DevOps team provides specialist technical expertise to enable the development and operation of our business-critical applications.

As a lead DevOps engineer, you will lead a small team working across cloud technologies like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, Kofax, and SharePoint online.

Key responsibilities:

1. Owning the DevOps lifecycle and strategic roadmap, automating deployment and development processes for CI/CD.
2. Maintaining high availability of production and non-production environments.
3. Communicating with third-party suppliers, colleagues, and the wider business, and escalating issues when necessary.
4. Staying updated with industry trends, conducting research, and testing new techniques to enhance DevOps processes.
5. Growing team capability by introducing new tools, practices, and processes.
6. Scripting and automating deployment processes across various environments.
7. Ensuring smooth operation of applications across servers and environments.
8. Improving the change pipeline, including CI/CD processes, for efficiency.
9. Planning capacity, stability, and automation improvements for future system uptime.
10. Serving as a technical SME with experience in Microsoft development and operational environments.
11. Building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Team City, and Octopus.
12. Working within Agile teams using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
13. Collaborating with third-party providers to maximize value and benefits.
14. Deploying and supporting .NET applications effectively.
15. Having knowledge of web hosting, load balancing, and networking.
16. Supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and cloud platforms like Azure and XaaS.
17. Communicating technical concepts clearly to colleagues.

Other Criteria:

• Understanding SQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Programming in C#, Python, and scripting with PowerShell.
