Aldwych Consulting seeks a Senior/Principal Highways & Infrastructure Design Engineer to join London development team, delivering highways and drainage design for developers. You will lead from concept to detailed design, mentor juniors, and help shape a growing team while coordinating with authorities and clients.

Role involves S278/S38 schemes, drainage strategies, flood risk work, and SuDS, using Civil 3D. Flexible working arrangements and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in development-related highways and infrastructure design.
• Strong experience delivering detailed highways design, particularly S278/S38 schemes.
• Strong experience in drainage design and drainage strategies.
• Experience preparing or contributing to Flood Risk Assessments.
• Understanding of SuDS and surface water management.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software, particularly Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from concept through to detailed design and technical approval.
• Deliver S278/S38 highways design and detailed estate roads.
• Develop drainage design and drainage strategies.
• Prepare or contribute to Flood Risk Assessments.
• Coordinate highways and drainage infrastructure with stakeholders.
• Prepare technical drawings and design packages for approvals.
• Engage with developers, local authorities and project stakeholders.
• Support projects through relevant technical approval processes.
