Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking a Design/Technical Manager for major national construction projects. You will lead the design and technical process from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring information is coordinated, buildable, compliant and issued on schedule.

You will drive design team performance, integrate with the BR-PD and Lead Designer, and manage information flows using Viewpoint to meet Gateway milestones and project programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design/technical teams in construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate complex information from pre-construction through handover.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on PCSA s, coordinating design information and ensuring buildability and compliance.
• Collaborate with design team to set information release schedules and deadlines.
• Review drawings and proposals for Building Regulations compliance and constructability.
• Work with Document Controller to ensure design workflows and approvals via Viewpoint.
• Develop and maintain the design programme with timely submissions and samples.
