Lead Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Are you an experienced Design Engineer with strong project leadership skills, seeking a unique opportunity within a CAA-approved organisation responsible for maintaining the continued flight capability of the UK's last remaining warbird fleet?

On offer is the chance to join a growing business with an expanding Design team. You will work on a variety of multidisciplinary projects across Aero-Structures, Aero-Engines, and Systems from the golden age of flight through to the Second World War, including iconic aircraft such as the Lancaster, Spitfire, and Hurricane.

This is a rare opportunity to combine advanced engineering with the preservation of aviation history, supported by training, technical progression, and a highly dedicated team.

The Role
  • Project Leading within a busy CAA Approved Design Organisation
  • Developing complete and approved design solutions
  • Compliance verification of design artefacts
  • CAD modelling through to detailed drawing generation
  • Liaison with customers, subcontractors, and internal staff
The Person
  • Degree educated (or equivalent) in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Significant experience as a Design Engineer in a project lead role
  • Knowledge of Civil & Military Aviation regulations (advantageous)
