Job summary

Morson Group is recruiting a Design Approver to support the Wing Plant Engineering Team, delivering high-quality design solutions for the Plant, FALs and supply chain.

You will lead design investigations, sign off on approvals, mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement while liaising with CVE, Chief Engineer and Configuration Management to ensure airworthiness and robust design solutions. Hybrid role with base at Broughton Plant (60% onsite minimum).

Qualifications

• Experience leading design investigations and approvals.
• Knowledge of design signatory processes.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering teams.
• Liaise with CVE, Chief Engineer and Configuration Management.
• Understand airworthiness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design investigations and formulate technical solutions for design tasks including modifications and flow mods.
• Act as design approval signatory and provide design governance.
• Mentor and develop engineering team members and close skill gaps.
• Ensure design standards and requirements are met and fully integrated with other functions.
• Drive continuous improvement through methods and process enhancements and report critical issues.
