The Role - Lead Dental Nurse/Treatment Coordinator at Angle House Chingford

We are looking for an experienced Lead Dental Nurse/Treatment Coordinator, who wants to be a big part of the Angle House success story. Our orthodontists rely on the Lead Dental Nurse/Treatment Coordinator to assist with a range of dental procedures, while our patients appreciate the reliability and reassurance – they need to know they’re in safe hands. The Lead Dental Nurse is also responsible for managing the dental nursing team and clinical compliance.

You’ll also have the chance to develop new skills. We’re big on promoting people from within, so there’ll be plenty of scope for progression if you want to broaden your horizons.

This role is full-time, 40 hours a week, including occasional Saturdays.

Key duties:

  • Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and monitoring the patient journey from start to end
  • Responsible for smile checks, consultations as well as offering and discussing different treatment options with patients while always prioritising their needs
  • Promoting private treatment and being involved with marketing programs
  • Building and maintaining fantastic relationships with patients by offering personalised care
  • Manage dental nursing team according to the diary and business needs
  • Perform regular checks and audits to ensure health and safety as well as CQC compliance
  • Provide chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
  • Ensure the care and welfare of patients
  • Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed
  • Communicate with patients and provide support throughout their patient journey
  • Support the Practice Manager and the clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients
  • Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate and according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions
  • Liaise with Dental Nurses and reception to ensure smooth running of the practice, patient communications and transfer of records
  • Help make agreed business objectives happen, and monitor achievements

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent
  • GDC Registration
  • Interest in Orthodontics
  • Customer focus & enthusiasm

Desirable:

  • 5+ years of nursing experience
  • Experience in iTero/Trios scanning
  • Radiography qualification
  • Previous experience with orthodontics is desirable
  • Team and Diary Management
  • Previous experience using iComply, DoIt, SOE or Dentally is desirable
