Location: Leeds

Technology Directorate

DGCIO Division for Monetary Policy (MP) and Financial Stability (FS)

The DGCIO leads business-facing technology functions dedicated to servicing MP and FS. The DGCIO is accountable for the delivery and operations of all technology relied upon by MP and FS.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Future Data Systems (FDS) programme on a fixed-term contract until April 2026.

The FDS programme aims to transform the Bank's data production and statistics accessibility by building a new statistical production system (STRATUS) on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). The programme collaborates with a Service Integrator to build a diverse, talented, results-driven team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the FDS, ensuring milestones, quality, budget, and timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with Bank, business, and technology teams to identify deliverables and review technology resourcing quarterly.
  • Manage the contract obligations and deliverables of third-party consultancies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to align requirements, report progress, and manage expectations.
  • Identify and manage programme risks and dependencies.
  • Maintain governance, RAID logs, and reporting to leadership.
  • Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Support planning of data migration, system integration, and go-live readiness.
Minimum and Essential Criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of delivery methodologies, including Agile.
  • Experience leading projects or programmes to successful completion.
  • Team management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with the government Digital Services (GDS) Standard.
  • IT qualifications such as ITIL.

Salary: £62,640 - £70,470, Leeds
