Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join the cross-disciplinary Data Platform team. You’ll ingest and process high-volume data and work closely with Game Analytics analysts and analytics engineers to glean insights for game development and post-launch.

You’ll scale the data platform, define its technical direction, expand its reach, and build the future of analytics for PlayStation games, collaborating with DevOps and business stakeholders to improve data quality

Qualifications

Experience building and owning data pipelines for high-throughput streaming and batch data.
Proficiency in Go or Python with willingness to learn Go.
Experience building robust, scalable, and resilient services.
Ability to demonstrate measurable impact in prior roles.
Strong focus on data quality, investigations and remediation.
Experience with cloud data services (AWS).

Responsibilities

Own parts of our data pipeline and drive improvements.
Build supporting services for the pipeline (e.g., integrations with in-game maps and video tooling).
Integrate our data platform with BI tools to enable studio self-service.
Collaborate with DevOps, analytics engineers, and stakeholders across the studio.
Focus on data quality, lineage and observability.
Support tooling with improved quality and documentation.
Share knowledge as a technical expert.
