Location: Home-based with travel to client site or Columbus offices as required

Salary: Negotiable (We aim to improve your current package)

Bonus: Yes

Holiday: 25 Days, Plus Bank Holidays (Increasing with Service),

Hours: Full time (36.5 hpw)

Travel/Expenses: A car is required for travel to client sites - expensed at 45p per mile from home address (excluding travel to any Columbus Office within 35mi)

The role of Lead Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to implement data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. This will include developing and managing data pipelines, data analysis, and data visualization.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. You will provide expertise and guidance on best practices and engage in pre-sales activities, presenting technical solutions to our clients.

Travel and Hybrid Working

We offer an environment that provides flexibility for work-life balance, whether working from home or at one of our luxury Cubo offices around the UK.

We continue to offer onsite consultancy for our customers if requested, so flexibility around travel and overnight stays is expected, depending on project requirements. Onsite time is planned ahead within 2-week blocks, so you will know in advance where you will be working.

We encourage customer-facing roles to come into the office at least once a month. Locations are coordinated within each team, and you can work from Nottingham HQ or any Cubo office regularly if you prefer.

About You (The Essentials)

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Cloud.
  • Proficiency in data engineering, data analysis, and data visualization (e.g., Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of architecting enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Ability to provide engineering leadership for a team of engineers.
  • Guide and manage project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative work ethic.
  • Full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Curious, with a desire to challenge the status quo and improve.
  • Collaborates well with internal and external colleagues.
  • Committed to personal development and becoming a Trusted Advisor in your field.
