Job summary

UCL is seeking a Principal Data Engineer within the Information Services Division (ISD) to lead data enabling and transformation initiatives at a global university. You will design, build and optimise data flows connecting operational systems with analytics and BI platforms, in both on-premise and cloud environments.

Working with Platform Owner and senior stakeholders, you will drive data modelling, governance and quality, while mentoring a team in a matrix agile setting to deliver impactful

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Data Enabling/Transformation team in a matrix agile environment.
• Proven ability to deliver data integration and transformation across on-premise and cloud.
• Knowledge of data modelling and re-use across services/products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement data flows and integrations for analytics/BI.
• Collaborate with Platform Owner, architecture and senior stakeholders to identify solutions.
• Balance delivery with service and governance while managing conflicting priorities.
