Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• 3 years applied experience in relevant roles
• Strong working knowledge of AWS and Databricks
• Advanced SQL skills with joins and aggregations
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Experience with statistical data analysis and data patterns
• Understanding of modern software architecture patterns
• CI/CD experience with CircleCI/Jenkins
• Version control with GitHub/Bitbucket
• Desire to coach others and work in a team
• Adaptable to changing priorities and complexity

Responsibilities

• Lead a Squad of Data Engineers to meet business deliveries with Product and Design leads
• Lead Agile ceremonies including standups, retros, and refinements
• Take initiative and shape your own path with a pragmatic, iterative approach
• Accelerate team velocity to improve time to market for business solutions
• Provide frequent updates to senior stakeholders on progress
• Use domain modeling techniques to build best-in-class products
• Structure software for ease of understanding, testing, and evolution
• Investigate and fix issues promptly to prevent recurrence
• Own end-to-end, scalable, secure cloud-native microservice architectures
• Ensure zero downtime releases for end-users
