Job summary

Camino Search is partnering with a financial services client in Bristol to hire a Lead Azure Data Engineer. This is a hands-on role taking ownership of the data platform and data warehouse to support the technology transformation and M&A activity.

You'll work primarily with Azure stack (Azure Data Factory, Databricks) to build scalable solutions. The role is hybrid, with 1-2 days in the Bristol office and significant stakeholder interaction with the leadership team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on data engineering experience.

Lead Azure Data Engineer - Financial Services

Camino Search is currently partnering with a financial services client based in Bristol hiring for a Lead Data Engineer.

This is a hands‑on position to help build a scalable and modernised data platform and foundations, taking ownership of the data architecture and data warehouse to support the wider technology transformation and M&A activity.

The core technology stack is based in the Azure ecosystem, with an emphasis on Azure, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.

Paying up to £110,000 per annum base salary plus bonus, based in Bristol working hybrid 1-2 days per week in office.

Required Experience:

• Proven and recent track record as a hands‑on data engineer, working on building scalable platforms for 6+ years.
• Experience and strong technical skills with Azure, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong experience with Databricks, ideally including a migration programme.
• High commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills to engage with non‑technical teams and the wider leadership team.
