Lead Data Engineer

As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Data Engineering team, assisting in the design, development, testing, and deployment of quality data analytics solutions and services.

This pivotal role supports the Partnership in becoming truly data-led by equipping them with robust data platforms.

The benefits:
  • Salary - up to £80,000
  • Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 15%

Key Accountabilities:
  • Providing technical leadership by staying current with latest technologies and trends, helping the team develop innovative solutions
  • Owning technical solutions
  • Understanding and translating user requirements into technical specifications
  • Designing and implementing data solutions
  • Writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining code
  • Collaborating with data engineers, trainers, and stakeholders
What will you need to succeed?
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Extensive experience in data engineering and proven success in developing enterprise-level data solutions
Knowledge:
  • SQL Server (TSQL), Cloud services (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • SSIS, SSRS, Data modelling, Power BI
  • Data Warehouse and report layer design
  • Strong SQL and database querying skills
  • Microsoft BI full stack (desirable)
  • Azure DevOps Pipelines, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks (desirable)
  • Azure portal and services knowledge
  • Agile working practices and Azure DevOps familiarity
  • Data testing experience
