About The Role

As a Lead Data Engineer at Notabene, you will shape how crypto transactions are settled globally. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across all levels, translating their BI needs into accessible, real-time reports. You will maintain and improve our data management and analytics systems.

Your responsibilities include building and scaling data pipelines, enhancing our data warehouse architecture, and ensuring data insights are optimized and scalable. You will also foster a data-driven culture by training power-users and enabling strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using tools like dbt, Airbyte, Cube, DuckDB, Redshift, and Superset
2. Gather data requirements from stakeholders and set up dashboards
3. Promote a data-driven culture and train users across the organization
4. Ensure data governance and security, especially around high-security PII data
5. Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data infrastructure for performance and scalability

Must Haves

1. 8+ years of experience in data engineering
2. Proven expertise in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data infrastructure
3. Strong experience with dbt core/cloud
4. Business acumen to interface with finance, revenue, and operations leaders
5. Expertise in data governance, security, and PII management
6. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and AWS
7. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
8. Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity
9. Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
