Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

Base Location: Leeds based (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office)

Responsibilities

Lead data engineering projects with cloud experience, bringing innovative ideas to the team. Maintain high technical standards and contribute to solution development.

Requirements

1. Expertise in data engineering, analytics, architecture, or security using at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
2. Proficiency in Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.
3. Experience with database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB from an application development perspective.
4. Leadership in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.
5. Strong problem-solving skills with troubleshooting experience.
6. Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts and understand business needs.

Desirable Skills and Extras

• Experience with Quantexa or Palantir.
• Interest in machine learning and data science applications.
• Knowledge of open-source technologies.
• Understanding of test automation frameworks and pipeline automation.
