We are seeking a Lead Data Developer to join the Customer and Colleague Engagement Centres (CCECs), Insight and Data Development team. In this role, you will take the lead to design and execute data development projects across all markets and channels. Your work will ensure we have meaningful management information to drive our business plans and enhance experiences for both customers and colleagues. This is an essential role that involves creating scalable and efficient data pipelines, implementing data models, and integrating diverse data sources to enable the business to extract valuable insights and make data-driven decisions.

About the role

You will be responsible for
  • Managing and maintainingserver infrastructure and associated software, including SQL databases, Linux virtual machines, Git repositories, and continuous deployment pipelines
  • Supporting the development, automation, and maintenanceof data processes for the CCECs, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT)
  • Working with data pipelinesto ensure accurate and timely delivery of data from core systems
  • Maintaining and optimisinga user-friendly data warehouse, ensuring robust and efficient ELT processes.
  • Contributing to the Data & Insight development roadmap, supporting the successful delivery of CCEC projects
  • Collaborating with stakeholdersto understand their needs and deliver high-quality data streams that support both CCEC and wider business objectives
  • Ensuring data qualitythrough regular pipeline maintenance and review
  • Fostering a collaborative environment, sharing ideas and driving innovation across the team
  • Responding to change requestswith creative, practical solutions using a wide range of development tools
  • Providing expert supportto the wider business on production data runs and performance optimisation, helping to meet objectives with minimal disruption

You will need

Operational skills relevant for this job:
