Lead Data and Analytics Engineer
As our Lead Data and Analytics Engineer, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary, agile, data delivery team focused on delivering innovative, robust, and efficient data solutions to complex business problems. You’ll collaborate with passionate data professionals, including data and analytics engineers, test engineers, data scientists, and data visualisation specialists.

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside solution and data architects to deliver complex data and analytics solutions, including data ingestion from various sources into cloud-based and on-premise analytics platforms, and produce data warehouse, analytical data sets, and visualisations.
- Manage and develop a team of Senior, Mid, and Junior Data and Analytics Engineers, including recruitment.
- Design and lead data modelling, transformation, and cleansing for our enterprise data warehouse, supporting both technical and non-technical users.
- Promote a data-first culture within the team and across the business, supporting learning and data enablement activities.
- Support production data assets and demonstrate passion for data to inspire your team.
Requirements:
- Experience in developing data pipelines from various sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and event-driven data feeds; experience with dbt is preferred.
- Experience with data warehouse design and modelling, including conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional modelling techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake (preferred), Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Azure Synapse, and familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure services like cloud storage, containerisation, orchestration, and security.
- Experience working in Agile environments, using Scrum or Kanban, with strong communication skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries across multiple platforms; Python knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau (preferred), PowerBI, or Quicksight is desirable.
