A government agency in the UK is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights. You will lead teams in creating impactful data products, utilize predictive analytics, and engage with stakeholders to provide strategic recommendations. The role involves hybrid working, requiring office attendance for at least 60% of work hours. The ideal candidate has a passion for data and experience in leading analytical projects.
Data Services and Analytics (DSA) is part of DDaT, leading the build of data products to integrate data from multiple sources and deliver solutions for business intelligence, reporting, and data science. DSA aims to be a leading provider of insight services in UK Government and is currently expanding, with over 300 colleagues serving various functions within the Home Office.
In this role, you will identify and deliver new data sources, develop ETL processes, and collaborate with Data Acquisition, Analytics, and Infrastructure teams to implement the data strategy through designing and deploying technology systems.

The successful candidate will be based at one of the following regional offices: Ruskin Square – Croydon, Soapworks - Manchester, or Vulcan House - Sheffield. Under Home Office hybrid working practices, attendance at the office for at least 60% of your working hours is expected.

As a Lead Data Analyst, you will explore and exploit complex data sets, analytical tools, and techniques to support stakeholders across the Home Office. You will ensure that a wide range of innovative opportunities are explored, evaluating options, impacts, risks, and solutions to define problems clearly and maximize the use of new data and technology.
You will build and manage a network of colleagues and contacts to achieve shared objectives.
You will act as a thought leader within the Data Analysis community and oversee the development of junior staff.
