Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development, drive restaurant performance, and deliver excellent results.

Responsibilities include |

  • Creating a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high food standards and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
  • Maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards, understanding financial aspects like gross profit, stock control, and labour costs.
  • Building a coaching culture, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and development, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Being a proactive problem solver, making quick decisions, and thinking on your feet.

What we look for |

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with genuine care and consideration for your team.
  • Experience maintaining high standards of food, health, safety, and financial management including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
