Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to lead the JV CSA design and site engineering team on major nuclear projects. The role requires regular Warrington office presence and occasional visits to the Sellafield site, liaising with multi-discipline teams and subcontractors.

You will review design submissions, ensure alignment with British Standards, and provide strategic guidance across programmes. A UK driving licence and BPSS clearance are required to operate in this environment.

Qualifications

• Civil/structural engineering degree or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with MICE or MI StructuralE.
• Proven track record in major project delivery within nuclear sectors.
• Ability to provide strategic guidance across multiple projects.
• Strong leadership within an engineering function.
• Experience in nuclear sector including new build and decommissioning.
• Understanding of design principles and British Standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Report to CSA RE on a daily basis.
• Provide leadership and support to the JV CSA design and site team.
• Attend Warrington office at least 3 days per week and visit Sellafield regularly.
• Review and comment on CSA JV design submissions and PMACD submissions.
• Review TQ/PP submissions and progress of drawings through to As Built status.
• Engage with multi-discipline design teams and external interfaces.
• Interface with SL Site Utilities and Infrastructure Capability for buy-in.
• Support Safety Case work and external works design issues.
