Express recruitments are working with a national utilities business who are currently searching for an experienced credit controller as a standalone role.

As lead you will report into the financial director and assist in the smooth running of the finance department with regular updates and reporting.

This is a great opportunity to join at an exciting period of change within a very fast paced department, benefits included within this role are company pension, life Insurance and onsite parking and the hours for this position are Monday – Friday 09:00-17:30.

  • Dealing with complex disputes within credit control conversations
  • Adjusting and updating billing and statements based on service notes
  • Running credit checks on new clients and suppliers
  • Monthly and periodic reporting on progress of the recovered balances
  • Flag any discrepancies that need further investigation
  • Ensure all compliance standards are adhered within company standards

Skills & Experience

  • Solid experience within a phone-based credit control role
  • Experience of dealing with low value and volume transactions
  • Experience of problem solving resolution of payments
  • Assertive personality with good listening skills
  • Strong IT skills, especially with Excel
