Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Healthcare Scientist role to provide a high-quality respiratory physiology service within Cambridge. You will work with the Sleep and CPAP teams in a cross-cover model and perform diagnostic and follow-up lung function testing following SOPs.

The post is part-time (0.2 WTE) with a Band 7 Agenda for Change salary. Applicants must have right to work in the UK and meet apprenticeship rules for the duration of the contract.

Qualifications

• MSc in science-related subject is essential.
• Registered with HCPC or similar regulatory body.
• Certificate of attendance at CPET course is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused lung function testing following procedures.
• Support cross cover with sleep and CPAP teams.
• Assist with developing and reviewing departmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate patient activity; manage diary and bookings.
• Record data into electronic systems with accuracy.
