Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong understanding of thermal management, heat transfer and cooling.
• An MSc, BEng, NVQ or Equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Product design development in cooling/HVAC/Datacenters.
• Experience in Fluid Dynamics.
• Experience in Product Life Cycle Analysis CFD.

Responsibilities

• Research, aid in design, develop & validate new cooling products.
• Specify & develop the next generation of cooling products.
• Produce & maintain technical files to meet UK Regulations.
• Follow design & development procedures as per ISO9001.
• Provide technical details for purchasing parts from suppliers.
• Progress and report on new products.
• Support the technical department on cooling matters.
• Work collaboratively with the team.
• Support junior members of the team.
• Deliver your scope of work within time and budget.
• Promote the Legrand Group Values & Code of Ethics.

Overview

Lead Cooling Engineer — Location: Bedford. Salary: Up to GBP60,000 per year. Hours: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5.30pm; Fridays, 9am - 3pm. Job type: Full-time, permanent. Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Lead Cooling Engineer to join their ever expanding team.

Responsibilities

• Research, aid in design, develop & validate new cooling products.
• Specify & develop the next generation of cooling products taking account of marketing requirements to produce functional products of new or improved design to conform to the latest National and International standards.
• Produce & maintain technical files to meet the requirements of UK Regulations and & EU directives.
• Follow design & development procedures as required by ISO9001 and Legrands ECO design policy.
• Provide Purchasing department with technical details for the purchase of parts from external suppliers.
• Progress and report on new products going through new product development.
• Support the technical department on cooling and mechanical matters relating to company products.
• Work collaboratively with the team and share knowledge and experience.
• Support junior members of the team when necessary.
• Delivering your scope of work within time and budget.
• Abide by & actively promote the Legrand Group Values & Code of Ethics.
