GE Vernova seeks a Lead Controls and Automation Engineer for electrification projects in Marine and Naval applications. The role involves designing and implementing control systems, interfacing with customers and technical teams, and requires a relevant engineering degree along with PLC programming expertise. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative projects critical to energy efficiency and decarbonization.
GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime, and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives, and control technologies.
As the Lead Controls and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering control system projects primarily for Marine, Offshore and Naval applications. Your technical knowledge will help progress electrification and decarbonization in the marine business sector.
This technical role entails working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to design, implement and test our Controls & Automation Systems solutions to meet both customer and marine classification society requirements.

This role involves work for customers who manage critical infrastructure; based on customer requirements it will be necessary to carry out background checks and suitability assessments (UK BPSS clearance OR UK SC clearance) as part of the hiring process.
