Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Lead Construction Coordinator (Workface Planning) for a major industrial project in Padeswood. You will lead WFP implementation, ensuring IWPs are prepared and executed to maximise productivity, with full training provided if needed.

The role involves coordinating with engineering, construction and subcontractor teams, guiding CWPs/IWPs and delivering safe, efficient field execution on a 12-month renewable contract. Start date ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Workface Planning (WFP) processes per project requirements.
• Train and mentor subcontractor WFP teams on WFP methodologies and O3 software.
• Identify and remove site constraints before execution through detailed planning.
• Oversee development and management of Installation Work Packages (IWPs) from CWPs.
• Ensure labour, materials, equipment, and documentation are available before field release.
• Utilise the O3 Workface Planning tool to boost productivity, safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with schedulers, engineers, superintendents and site teams for alignment.
• Monitor IWP development and execution, ensuring quality and compliance.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Coordinator (Workface Planning) to support the delivery of a major industrial construction project in Padeswood. Working closely with engineering, construction and subcontractor teams, you will help ensure work scopes are fully prepared, coordinated and ready for safe, efficient field execution.

This role will be responsible for leading the implementation of Workface Planning (WFP) processes, ensuring Installation Work Packages (IWPs) are developed and executed efficiently to maximise construction productivity. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support can be provided to candidates with a strong construction background.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Workface Planning processes in line with project requirements
• Train, mentor, and support subcontractor Workface Planning teams in the use of WFP methodologies and O3 software
• Ensure detailed planning processes are in place to identify and remove site constraints prior to execution
• Oversee the development and management of Installation Work Packages (IWPs) from Construction Work Packages (CWPs)
• Ensure all labour, materials, equipment, and documentation requirements are available prior to field release
• Utilise the O3 Workface Planning tool to improve productivity, safety, and execution efficiency
• Coordinate with project schedulers, engineers, superintendents, and construction teams to ensure alignment across project activities
• Monitor IWP development and execution, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements
• Track workface planning performance and implement corrective actions where required
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and conduct lessons learned reviews to optimise future delivery

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years' construction experience with a strong focus on field execution, construction coordination, site operations or project delivery.
• Experience working on large industrial, manufacturing, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity and field operations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Ability to identify and proactively resolve construction constraints.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, project controls and construction teams.
• Gold or Academic CSCS card is required for this role to work on site.
• Experience with Construction Work Packages (CWPs), Installation Work Packages (IWPs), Workface Planning (WFP) or Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) is advantageous but not essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• Relevant construction, project delivery or safety certifications are advantageous.
• Motivation to develop expertise in Advanced Work Packaging and Workface Planning methodologies.
