Job summary

Homes England is recruiting a Head, Complex Transaction Support to lead a small team of portfolio managers handling the NHB's distressed real estate loan and equity portfolios. You will identify risk factors, steer restructuring strategies and influence impairment assessments used in financial reporting.

You will act as a technical expert to advise portfolio managers and executives, reviewing legal documents and coordinating with external advisers to deliver timely, value‑preserving solutions

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in banking, accounting, surveying or law.
• Understanding of residential property development, planning, valuation and monitoring.
• Experience managing real estate loan/equity portfolios including restructurings.
• Ability to review legal documents and coordinate restructuring amendments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of portfolio managers overseeing distressed transactions.
• Identify critical risk factors and develop restructuring strategies.
• Inform impairment assessments used in financial reporting.
• Advise and support executives on investments with signs of distress.
