Job description

Job Title: Senior Compensation Professional

Protective is seeking a senior-level compensation professional to support our company's compensation programs. Reporting to the VP, Head of Compensation and Benefits, the successful candidate will play a key role in administering and enhancing our compensation strategies.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement compensation strategies aligned with company goals to attract, retain, and motivate talent.
  2. Design and oversee executive compensation plans, including base salary, bonuses, and long-term incentives, and maintain the company Career Framework.
  3. Provide support during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring smooth integration of compensation programs.
  4. Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive practices and recommend adjustments.
  5. Collaborate with HR and leadership to align compensation programs with business strategies.
  6. Prepare reports and presentations on compensation metrics and trends for senior management.
  7. Assist in the accounting and administration of compensation programs.
  8. Evaluate and refine compensation processes to improve efficiency.
Skills and Abilities:
  1. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in compensation analysis tools.
  2. Excellent consulting and communication skills, capable of working with senior leaders.
  3. In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  4. Strong organizational and project management skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and accounting systems.
Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, HR, or related field (preferred).
  2. HR Certification (e.g., CCP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) (preferred).
  3. 7-10 years of experience in compensation analysis, especially in executive compensation and M&A.
  4. Experience with long-term incentive plans for non-public companies (preferred).
  5. Experience with Career Framework and Compensation Software (preferred).

Salary range for this position is $97,500 to $149,500, with additional incentive opportunities based on performance. Benefits include health, dental, vision, mental health support, paid time off, parental leave, disability, pension, 401(k), and wellbeing programs.
