Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde invites applications for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse based at Goldenhill Resource Centre, Clydebank. This part-time post (21.6 hours per week) involves managing your own caseload, supervising nursing staff and students, and leading a small clinical team within the Nursing Team.

Qualifications

• First level Registered Mental Nurse with post-registration experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Current driving licence.
• Ability to fulfil main duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, review and discharge individual caseload within a defined clinical area and supervise the nursing team caseload.
• Liaise with referrals from GP's, primary care workers, consultants and statutory bodies.
• Provide regular caseload management and clinical supervisory function to other nursing grades and facilitate the appraisal process.
• Provide leadership and development to nursing staff with regard to lifelong learning, evidence-based practice and innovation.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with service users, carers and health professionals while managing risk in complex situations.
