Job Description:

Our client, a multiple award-winning Automotive Manufacturer at the forefront of Electric Vehicle technology, is seeking a seasoned PSV or HGV Technician to join their team as a Lead Commercial Vehicle Technician. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Sherburn-in-Elmet, offering a competitive salary (to be discussed on application).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design teams and customers to understand design intents.
  • Analyze and address root cause failures, investigating reliability and warranty issues.
  • Support the Aftersales team with technical and engineering expertise.
  • Manage product lifecycle, warranty analysis, and implement design and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of issues and solutions.
  • Document investigations, communications, and actions accurately.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in PSV and/or HGV engineering.
  • Proven ability to address complex issues with third parties and implement corrective measures.
  • Strong knowledge in structural design, powertrains, electrical systems, and manufacturing practices.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Knowledge of electric power systems.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including proficiency in 3D design software like SolidWorks.
