Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer to design, build and implement AWS and hybrid cloud solutions, aligning with customer requirements and security considerations.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define scalable infrastructures and optimize Linux/Windows environments, applying Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices across national security projects. A leadership track is available.

Qualifications

• Proven IT systems design, deployment and admin experience, incl. leadership responsibilities.
• AWS Associate level certification with hands-on cloud delivery experience.
• Strong Linux and Windows system administration in large-scale environments.
• Solid understanding of IPv4 networking (subnetting, routing).
• Experience automating tasks using tools such as Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and implement AWS and hybrid cloud solutions aligned to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scalable, secure infrastructure architectures.
• Administer and optimise Linux and Windows-based systems in enterprise environments.
• Design and troubleshoot IP networking solutions including AWS networking and hybrid connectivity.
• Automate deployment, configuration and maintenance processes using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through DevSecOps practices and innovation.
