Job summary

Ocho in Northern Ireland is seeking a senior security architect to lead secure cloud design and set architecture standards. You will guide delivery teams, defend designs in technical reviews, and mentor a small team of architects and engineers across a rapidly scaling cyber capability.

The role blends leadership with hands‑on technical credibility, operating in a remote‑first model within Northern Ireland and shaping security across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience leading secure cloud design in AWS or Azure.
• Expertise in security architecture for scale and governance.
• Proven people management of architects and engineers.
• Knowledge of NCSC, ISO, NIST, SOC, PCI and GDPR controls.
• Clearance eligibility or current UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure design of cloud services aligned to strategy.
• Set architectural direction and standards for delivery teams.
• Identify security issues and recommend mitigations balancing cost, risk, and usability.
• Manage and coach a small team, overseeing performance and progression.
• Represent senior security voice with client stakeholders.
