Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to shape and operate scalable cloud platforms across UK offices. This leadership role focuses on secure, reliable infrastructure and automation to support our digital services for care and customer support.

You will guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security, operations and product teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions that align with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Experience with deployment, monitoring and configuration tools.
• Proficient in Python or PowerShell.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.

Salary from: £74,400 per annum (DOE and location) plus 10% bonus

Key Skills/Qualifications Needed For This Role

We’re looking for a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer who:

• Has strong experience working with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Demonstrates expertise in platform engineering, infrastructure and automation
• Has experience leading or mentoring engineers
• Is confident working with deployment, monitoring and configuration tools
• Has knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell or similar)
• Understands security, reliability and performance in cloud environments
• Communicates clearly and works well with a range of stakeholders
• Takes a proactive, solution-focused approach
