Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Cloud Architect (LCA) responsible for delivering top-tier services to our CSS Customers operating on private and/or public cloud environments. Extensive experience in cloud architecture design and implementation across multiple domains (SaaS, PaaS/Middleware, IaaS/OCI, Database, Security, AI, Multi-cloud) is required, along with the ability to lead projects to completion through collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
- Build trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Work with customers to capture business and industry requirements and translate these into technical architectures aligned with Oracle’s best practices and standards.
- Lead CSS’s experienced delivery teams by providing technical governance and guidance.
- Maintain market awareness of competitor technologies and emerging trends.
- Develop knowledge of new technologies and inform CSS teams and customers on adaptation strategies.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills, accountability, trustworthiness, and the ability to build lasting relationships with team members, other Oracle teams, and customers at various levels, up to CIO or equivalent.
- Collaborate with sales teams to define scope, effort estimates, provide technical guidance, and support high-level project delivery methodologies.
As a CSS Lead Cloud Architect, your responsibilities include:
- Assess and analyze customer needs to ensure Oracle solutions meet their objectives.
- Apply industry and Oracle best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.
- Serve as the Oracle Solution Delivery authority to facilitate informed customer decisions regarding scope, cost-effectiveness, quality, and reusability.
- Provide technical guidance on Oracle cloud and on-premise solutions to customers and internal teams.
- Ensure smooth handover from implementation to operations, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements for optimal operational performance.
- Maintain Oracle solutions to meet customer demands, whether on-premise, cloud, or hybrid, across various workloads.
- Support business development by identifying and promoting opportunities for Oracle product and service sales.
- Research and communicate advances in Oracle cloud technology to relevant stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead and contribute to CSS strategic programs, including innovation initiatives.
- Work closely with CSS teams to ensure the success of mission-critical environments.
Job Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience as a Senior/Enterprise Architect delivering enterprise solutions or transformation programs, preferably in cloud technologies.
- Experience with Enterprise Design/Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Proven technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Positive, innovative attitude towards solution design and delivery.
- Agile approach to project and solution design, with experience managing change.
- Fluent in English; additional languages like Spanish, German, French are a plus.
- Leadership experience in large, complex enterprise or service provider environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to decompose complex problems and provide suitable assessments and recommendations.
- Eagerness to learn new cloud technologies.

Preferred Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of Oracle's private, hybrid, and public cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.
- Knowledge of physical and SDN network technologies.
- Experience with Oracle SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and Database services.
- Understanding of application landscapes and SaaS solutions.
- Knowledge of open-source cloud technologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud security.
- Familiarity with cloud-native design principles.
- Experience with automation, DevOps, GitOps, AI/ML, and microservices.
