Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead Cloud Architect (LCA) responsible for delivering best-in-class services to our CSS Customers running their solutions on private and/or public cloud environments. Strong overarching cloud architecture design and implementation experience across multiple domains is required (. SaaS, PaaS/Middleware, IaaS/OCI, Database, Security, AI, Multi-cloud), with the ability to lead projects through to fruition, via close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

• Establishes trust-based client relationships, working closely with customers as the trusted advisor.
• Works with customers to capture business and industry requirements and translate them into technical architectures aligned with Oracle’s best practices and service delivery standards.
• Leads CSS’s highly experienced delivery teams by providing technical governance and guidance.
• Maintains market awareness around competitor technologies and new emerging technologies.
• Keen to develop into new emerging technologies and provide structured awareness to CSS teams and customers on how to adapt.
• With extensive problem resolution skills, the LCA is accountable, trustworthy, and able to build lasting relationships with team members, other Oracle teams, and customers at different levels of the reporting line up to CIO or equivalent business owner.
• Collaborates with sales teams where required to assist at pre-sales around defining scope, LoE, technical guidance, and high-level technical program/project delivery methodology.

As a CSS Lead Cloud Architect, you will:

• Assess and analyze customers' business needs to ensure Oracle solutions meet their objectives.
• Apply industry and Oracle best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.
• Serve as the Oracle Solution Delivery authority to ensure customers make informed decisions regarding scope to achieve beneficial solutions in terms of cost, quality, and reusability.
• Provide technical guidance on Oracle cloud and/or on-premise solutions to customers and other Oracle team members to underpin successful delivery.
• Ensure successful handover from implementation to operations, ensuring the implemented solution fits customer requirements for best-in-class operations.
• Maintain the Oracle Solution to meet customer demands, platforms for Oracle solutions are on-premise, cloud, or hybrid, running various workloads (application, middleware, database, infrastructure).
• Act as the main contact for new business opportunities by supporting our CSS Services Solutioning team. Identify and promote opportunities for sales of Oracle products and services to support business growth.
• Undertake research, investigations, and developments in Oracle cloud technology, communicating findings to relevant stakeholder groups to inform business decisions.
• Actively lead and contribute to strategic CSS programs, including innovation.
• Work closely with different CSS teams to ensure the successful implementation and operation of mission-critical environments.

Job Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of experience as a Senior/Enterprise Architect delivering enterprise solutions and/or transformation programs, ideally targeting cloud technologies.
• Experience with Enterprise Design/Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF or similar.
• Provide technical leadership from sales to delivery through effective coaching and mentoring.
• Positive, creative, and innovative attitude towards solution design and delivery.
• Agile approach to design and delivery, with demonstrable experience of adapting to change at Program/Project and Solution levels.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish, German, French is a plus.
• Proven leadership of large and complex service solutions in large enterprises or service providers.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
• Ability to break down complex problems/issues to determine suitability through assessments and recommendations.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.

• Experience with Oracle SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and Database services.
• Understanding of application landscapes and SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of relevant open-source cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud security.
• Knowledge of cloud-native design solutions.
• Experience with automation processes and technologies such as DevOps, GitOps, AI/ML, microservices.
