Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead Cloud Architect (LCA) responsible for delivering top-tier services to our CSS Customers running solutions on private and/or public cloud environments. Extensive experience in cloud architecture design and implementation across multiple domains is required (SaaS, PaaS/Middleware, IaaS/OCI, Database, Security, AI, Multi-cloud) with the ability to lead projects through to completion, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Establishes trust-based client relationships, working closely with customers as a trusted advisor.
- Works with customers to capture business and industry requirements and translates them into technical architectures aligned with Oracle’s best practices and service standards.
- Leads CSS’s experienced delivery teams by providing technical governance and guidance.
- Maintains market awareness of competitors’ technologies and emerging technologies.
- Develops knowledge of new emerging technologies and shares insights with CSS teams and customers on adaptation strategies.
- Possesses extensive problem resolution skills, is trustworthy, and capable of building lasting relationships with team members, other Oracle teams, and customers at various levels, up to CIO or equivalent.
- Collaborates with sales teams to define scope, Level of Effort (LoE), provide technical guidance, and support high-level technical program/project delivery methodologies.
As a CSS Lead Cloud Architect, you will:
- Assess and analyze customer business needs to ensure Oracle solutions meet their objectives.
- Apply industry and Oracle best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.
- Serve as the Oracle Solution Delivery authority to ensure informed customer decisions regarding scope, cost-effectiveness, quality, and reusability.
- Provide technical guidance on Oracle cloud and/or on-premise solutions to customers and Oracle team members to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure smooth handover from implementation to operations, ensuring the solution fits customer requirements for optimal operational performance.
- Maintain Oracle solutions to meet customer demands, whether on-premise, cloud, or hybrid, supporting various workloads.
- Act as the main contact for new business opportunities by supporting CSS Services Solutioning team, identifying, and promoting sales opportunities for Oracle products and services.
- Research, investigate, and develop in Oracle cloud technology, communicating findings to relevant stakeholders to inform business decisions.
- Lead and contribute to strategic CSS programs, including innovation initiatives.
- Work closely with CSS teams to ensure the success of mission-critical environments.
Job Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience as a Senior/Enterprise Architect delivering enterprise solutions and/or transformation programs, ideally targeting cloud technologies.
- Experience with Enterprise Design/Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF or similar.
- Proven technical leadership from sales to delivery, including coaching and mentoring.
- A positive, creative, and innovative attitude towards solution design and delivery.
- An agile approach to design and delivery, with experience in managing change at program/project and solution levels.
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as Spanish, German, French are a plus.
- Proven leadership of large, complex service solutions in enterprise or service provider contexts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and provide suitable assessments and recommendations.
- Keen interest in learning new cloud technologies.

Preferred Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of Oracle’s private, hybrid, and public cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.
- Understanding of physical and SDN network technologies.
- Knowledge of Oracle SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and Database services.
- Understanding of application landscapes and SaaS solutions.
- Knowledge of open-source cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud security.
- Familiarity with cloud-native design solutions.
- Experience with automation, DevOps, GitOps, AI/ML, and microservices technologies.
