Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in Basildon is seeking a Clinical Lead for the Urgent Care Department (Mental Health). This senior role requires clinical leadership, strategic development of the service, and ensuring NICE guidance and DH standards are applied in daily practice.

You will oversee proactive assessment, clinical governance, and KPI delivery within a 24/7 rostered service, guiding the team to provide timely, evidence-based care for adults in mental health crisis at

Responsibilities

Continuing responsibility for proactive assessment, monitoring and management of patients and ensuring care is current, evidence based and in line with practice standards.
Provide clinical leadership to the team in evaluation and monitoring of the service, provide specialist assessment as per the service users, and carer’s requirement.
Lead with other senior colleagues the continuing development of a high quality service that is underpinned by evidence based practice and care pathways / packages and NICE guidance and DH guidance; leading on service development and policy in conjunction with the other Advanced Practitioners, senior clinicians, Clinical Manager and Operational Services Manager.
Ensure compliance with statutory duties; Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and performance targets (including meeting the recommended response times following evidence based practice) and quality improvement measurements assigned to the service.
