Job description

Job Description: Lead Clinical Trainer - Wellbeing Champion, Wishaw

Department: Medical Education

Location: NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Wishaw, Wishaw, United Kingdom

Contract: Fixed term for 1 year (open to NHS Lanarkshire staff only)

Salary: Equivalent to one PA per week

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Medical Education, Training Quality Leads, DDME (Undergraduates), and partners to champion the wellbeing of postgraduate and undergraduate medical trainees.
  • Develop and deliver a wellbeing strategy for medical trainees in both postgraduate and undergraduate settings.
  • Contribute to enhancing the quality of medical learning and the clinical environment.

The wellbeing of medical trainees and their senior colleagues is a significant concern, with recent GMC data indicating high stress and burnout levels. The post supports NHS Lanarkshire's commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
